Atma and Maya

Atma and Maya

Sometimes we can become buried in Maya.

For those who are aware of their spiritual side, this can quickly become unhealthy.  On over focus on Maya is uncomfortable.  Your awareness of yourself becomes submerged in busyness.  You may even become sick in an effort to force your attention back towards your deepest nature, Atma.

If you wish to re-center yourself on Atma, here are a few suggested practices.  You can “re-find” your inner Self in:

  • Prayer
  • Meditation
  • Peaceful time spent in nature
  • Peaceful time spent with loved ones
  • Church
  • Certain types of music
  • Quiet walks
  • A Retreat
  • Laughing
  • Humming
  • Singing
  • Smiling
  • Giving to others

In some cultures, the emphasis on Maya reigns supreme.  Pay no attention.  Follow your own inner path, maintain your own practices, and spread peace, joy, and light in a desperately distracted world….
